Why I’m Running
I’m running for Santa Barbara County Auditor-Controller because this office plays a critical role in how County government operates—and how public trust is earned.
This office maintains financial records, supports payroll and payments, audits departments, and ensures accountability over public funds—impacting every department and every resident.
At a time of tight budgets, evolving technology, and growing expectations for transparency, strong leadership matters.
I’ve spent my career preparing for this role—from starting as an intern at 18, to serving more than 12 years in the Auditor-Controller’s Office, including as Chief Deputy Controller, and now as Deputy CIO helping modernize County systems.
I understand how this office works—and how to move it forward.
If elected, I will strengthen transparency, improve accountability, support staff, and ensure the office delivers for the public.
